My fiancé was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease. Is there anything that could be done in terms of lifestyle to reverse this disease or prevent progression? What tests would you recommend for thyroid function or to identify possible causes? Thanks so much for any advice.
Would love for you to do either an AMA/regular podcast interview with someone on issues such as scoliosis, spinal fusion, and pectus excavatum. As someone with prior history of spinal fusion for scoliosis and current pectus excavatum (likely going to get surgically corrected) would love to know the impact of these conditions on exercise modifications and longevity. For example, pectus is something I've had my entire life but didn't know I had (nor the impact it had on my exercise tolerance... I just thought I wasn't a runner), but definitely has an impact on VO2 max. Interviewing an expert such as Dr. Dawn Jaroszewski (world renowned pectus surgeon) would be great. Also curious of particular areas of strength training to focus on post spinal fusion (thoracic to lumbar).
