Hi Peter. I have aortic insufficiency, and need to keep the diameter of my aorta down or I'll need surgery - likely aorta root replacement. Everyone agrees that deadlifts and squats are bad ideas - even at lighter weights, the body requires so much energy to perform these movements that blood pressure increases drastically and stresses the aorta. I hate the idea of not doing these lifts. Any ideas of what else I can do considering my scenario? I'm 53, a former meathead and now a skinny guy that follows your advice and looks forward to my centenarian decathlon. Thank you!
I have a severe fish and seafood allergy that prevents me from eating either or taking fish oil supplements. I have tried some of the vegan omega-3 supplements derived from algae oil, but they deliver far lower doses of EPA and DHA than fish-derived products. Do you have a recommendation for how I can take in more omega 3 and boost my omega index--other than just taking some multiple of the recommended dose of the algae-derived alternative?
I have asked this before, but since you brought it up, I thought I would try again. I am not in the US and have access to Phenibut. If it were available to you, how would you use it for sleep. Is it a “hammer” like phosphadityl serine, or an every day supplement. I have heard that addiction is an issue.
