Various ideas for discussion

An episode (or a series!) on all things joint health, the major constraint on movement and exercise later in life, including exercises and activities, blood flow to joints, supplements. Why does energy decline over life and how can one work with that constraint as one ages? Think of the incredible energetic fluidity of a puppy and the stiffness and slowness of an older dog We all know it takes ages to heal a cut or a muscle tear and most other things (bones?) as we age. Why? How can one accelerate that time. Does this phenomena have relevance to the optimal time one should allow for recovery between exercise sessions / workouts? What does the decline in efficiency of protein synthesis in later life mean for optimal levels and timing of protein intake? A lot more in aggregate taken "little and often" during the day? How much?

Ankylosing Spondylitis management

Can Ankylosing Spondylitis and related conditions be controlled or even put into remission without the use of biologics? I have been trying to avoid using biologics since being diagnosed in late 2020, it’s was hit and miss at first but I think lifestyle changes have helped to avoid flares. Can you dive into the low starch diet and other interventions and if they actually work? Related: is the use of whole body MRI to monitor disease progression in AS a good tool to avoid permanent damage by strategically using biologics when inflammation/enthesitis may be presenting?
