Hi; I am having knee surgery on 4/8 and would like to beef up my immune system and autophagy both going in and coming out of surgery. I currently do a 72-hour fast once a month for longevity and autophagy and brain health. I am considering doing a 72 the week of surgery and refeeding 2 days prior, and then another 72 the week after surgery (once off meds), to aid in healing and recovery. I know you can't give specific medical advice, but if this were you would your personal approach be something similar or would you have concerns? What impacts would you anticipate or other suggestions might you have for consideration? Thanks!
I've been take generic Finasteride since I was 26 (12 years, I'm 38 now) because I noticed early signs of alopecia. The drug has worked, I still have a full head of hair. But, what are the risks of long-term use (1.25mg daily with food/water... 85% adherence rate)? You mentioned risks of long-term usage on AMA#15, I believe, but I couldn't find any additional data in your show notes or elsewhere.
