Questions about cholesterol metabolism and where to intervene when it is too high (LDL 214 total >325)) with

This person exercises mostly in the high intensity range, has a mentally taxing and stressful profession, and eats relatively healthy. As a person in their early 30's who thought they were fit and doing everything right, the only option given by his doctor was to go on a statin. That without much of an explanation other than, "this seems like an anomaly" without recommendations for follow-up or more scrupulous blood work. He would like to avoid that at all cost and bring those levels down naturally. High BP is accompanying this cholesterol, and I can attest to his muscular and lower fat content build.

Shoulder Issues

Can you please go through common shoulder injuries such as impingement and rotator cuff tendonitis/tears? Also, the current state on optimal treatment strategies. Thanks

Male Hormones - - Testosterone

Hello, I’ve heard you mention that you and your team closely follow the research behind testosterone replacement and it’s safely and application. Would really love a deep dive on testosterone and male hormones in general such as the episodes on lipids and metabolic syndrome. Maybe a expert guest in the subject? Is there really a pandemic of lower T in men? Are the reference ranges going down over the decades ? The told of DHT, Estrogen and what about other supplements such as DHEA and Pregnelanone. There’s a lot of confusion on the internet and would love to hear from you and an expert. What about methods of administration. Thought son popularity of transscrotal cream at 200mg/ml ? What are the target number for free T ? Should one follow symptoms or number ? Should one block estrogen ? So many questions and so many conflicting information and probably disinformation online. Also , could Low T be one the main causes of metabolic syndrome speciallyy it’s profound effect on insulin resistance which may be a leading factor in NAFLD and therefore Diabetes and other diseases. Could TRT be a first line treatment for some of these diseases or at least screwing for it. Please help all the men out there with some solid science. I think it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Peter.

Low resting heart rate, but (too?) high exercise heart rate

Resting heart rate is in the 50s, but under exercise (e.g. road cycling) quickly gets to the 140s and on a short (e.g. 2.5 minutes, 0.5 km 5% gradient) on to the 180s. Generally healthy 59 year old. The exercise numbers seem high, given the 220-age or updated max HR estimators. Any thoughts?

Heath nuts (i.e. nuts for health)

Hi Peter, I make a variety of different nut milks (and hemp milk) as an alternative to diary. I heard you make a passing comment about cashews on a podcast and wondered specifically which nuts might be best to lean to, assuming that a variety is best.
