PDE5 inhibitors
You very briefly touched on PDE5 inhibitors during a podcast with Norton, I think, but only in reference to athletic performance. Your recent newsletter about cocoa reignited a suspicion I’ve had for a long time that PDE5 inhibitors may be very interesting from a longevity standpoint, beyond the usual PH and ED indications. In looking at the literature, seems like research is being done but early stage and low quality as far as I can tell. Do you have any thoughts?
Sleep deprivation and appendix!
q1) It seems most protocols for longevity require putting the body under some sort of stress e.g. fasting and sauna.. why does this not apply to sleep? Could short periods of shorter sleep make you more resilient? Q2) what are the theories about why we have an appendix? thanks!
Physicians in other states
Peter, do you know physicians in different states that subscribe to similar approach to health, exercise and treatment? I live in VA, and in all my years I haven't found a doctor that can give comprehensive advice along the lines of what you are discussing. Thank you
