Covid - A pandemic of variants

Do you have any thoughts on the differences between naturally-acquired immunity vs vaccine-acquired immunity? Specifically, does the mass vaccination program during a pandemic, where the virus has evolutionary room to explore, induce an enormous selective pressure for it to mutate its spike protein upon which the mRNA vaccine-induced immunity is based?

Lpa research participant interest

Hello, I became aware of your podcast when I discovered that I have an elevated Lpa (202 nmol/L). I have no other risk factors, but I do have an HDL over 100 mg/dL (LDL is 118 mg/dL, APOB is 85 mg/dL). My MD did order a calcium score this year which was 'normal'. I am on a journey to figure out what I can do about this and am interested in participating in any research opportunities. Are you able to provide any information/contacts for me to pursue? Love your podcast!

More accurate personal BMR measurement

Hi Peter and Team. I've found calorie counting pretty effective for weight loss and management, but have been reflecting recently on a problem I often have with tracking apps. They all use what seems to be a pretty simple formula to determine Basal Metabolic Rate, with just a handful of inputs like age, sex, height, weight, and self reported activity level. I often find I have to "under cut" the resulting values to achieve the stated results, sometimes by a few hundred calories. Of course I could be misjudging my activity level, but I suspect that there may also be genetic or environmental factors that lead me to have a lower than average BMR relative to men my age and height, etc. Could you talk a little bit about BMR? Is it even a valid concept? Too what extent do genetics impact BMR? How could I go about getting a better measurement? Thanks,

Zone 2 Heart Rate Range

For you personally, what heart rate range are you typically in when doing zone 2? I’m using MAF rate and the ‘talk test’ to estimate but having a another point of reference would be helpful. Thanks!

Finding the right doctor

Not everyone can be a patient of Dr. Attia, so how do we find a physician who approaches health the way you do with your patients, looking beyond the traditional markers for longevity? Is there a list, a club? If nothing like that exists, it would be great to access a resource of blood tests, performance tests and so forth that we can either order from our physician or get from other clinics or companies. Would be a great members only benefit.
