Perimenopause

With Doctors not understanding HRT, could you do a deeper dive into the labs and the thoughts on the difference in the meds. I work with womens health and see such a change with progesterone and estrogen in women but doctors refusing to give the bioidentical hormones. The bizarre statements from so many womens health doctors I have had report or heard ,could make me cry. Can you share the data that you think could help women educate themselves and their doctors.

Modern medicine, Aerobic training limits, Personal care products

Hello Peter and colleagues, I had a couple unrelated questions I've been thinking about. First, I've heard you talk about the flaws of modern medicine (especially HRT for women) and I was thinking about how today we are seeing some of the most unhealthy people amidst the greatest medical capabilities in history. What are your thoughts on the negatives vs positives of modern medicine as it relates to lifespan and healthspan? Second, after listening to your ama about if its possible to train too much and as a thought experiment, I was curious on your thoughts on a if reasonably young, healthy and fit person were to train to max out their aerobic abilities through zone 2 training what would that look like? Assuming proper nutrition and sleep and no time constraints. (10 hours per week, 20?) Finally, I've recently gone down a rabbit hole in regards to the quality and safety of supplements I take which led me into a lot of information regarding the health and safety of everyday personal care products like body wash, shampoo, etc. Basically I'm wondering what your thoughts are on this topic. I've read that many chemicals in these products are harmful and can even be absorbed and converted to estrogen in the body. Or is this one of those topics that sounds dire but in reality might not be a big deal. I've fallen into the marketing trap of companies like Dr. Squatch. -Male, 24
