Thoughts on the efficacy of jynarque / tolvaptan

I have autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD). What are your thoughts around the tradeoff of taking jynarque / tolvaptan vs simply optimizing the behavioral side of things such as frequent hydration and exercise and a healthy diet? Thanks.

ATOPY

A lot of doctors treat the symptoms of atopy without knowing the root cause of all the symptoms is the same. What treatments are there to address the root cause? Atopy refers to the genetic tendency to develop allergic diseases such as allergic rhinitis, asthma, and atopic dermatitis (eczema). It is characterized by a heightened immune response to common allergens, especially inhaled allergens and food allergens.

"Extreme" White Coat Syndrome

My bp is usually in the 105-125/62-78 range. However, every time I go to a medical professionals office and have staff take my bp it's 145-168/80-92. My primary says it happens to him when he goes to the dentist, so I shouldn't worry. But the extreme change and high numbers is disconcerting. I'm taking 50 mg of losartan 2x/day, and 25 mg metoprolol succinate 1x/day. This has been happening to me for 20 years or more. No one has offered me any insight. A cardiologist indicated that I probably have an "ability" to release adrenaline on the occasions, thus resulting in the high bps. Hmmm. Your comments would be much appreciated.

Health impacts of Blood / Platlelet donations

Have there been any studies measuring any positive or negative impact for regular blood or platelet donors? I am one and while I love the ability to help others, am I paying any price on my own health with this activity? Thanks

Blood Donations and impact on Iron

This may seem obvious, but blood donations can impact iron levels, especially ferritin and TIBC without showing low hemoglobin. I've experienced this first hand and plotted out the relationship in my case (n of 1) between donations and ferritin/TIBC scores here... https://www.reddit.com/r/Biohackers/comments/1bpsa96/psa_impacts_on_ferritin_and_tibc_when_giving/ Probably good to assess even before screening for colon cancer, given 3% of population donates blood (https://www.aha.org/news/headline/2024-01-29-groups-release-updated-statistics-us-blood-donation-use#:~:text=Only%20about%203%25%20of%20the,the%20Food%20and%20Drug%20Administration) and the lifetime risk of colon cancer is on the order of 4% (https://www.cancer.org/cancer/types/colon-rectal-cancer/about/key-statistics.html).
