Peter - what do you think of the "optimized" protein blends sold as OptimalAmino, PerfectAmino, etc. They claim to have a blend of amino where the various components are optimized for anabolic use by humans (if I understand correctly). So (they claim), you get the same anabolic benefit from a much, much smaller dose of their product than you would from, say, whey, at a much lower caloric load. What do you think? If this is true, it sounds like this would be a useful tool to have to gain or preserve lean body mass.... Thanks.
Hi, On AMA 32, Peter described his macro-structure as seven training days (alternating lifting and zone 2, with one double day). I've been told to take a rest day once a week. But I don't know what the literature is that supports this. I assume Peter doesn't take rest days. Could you two talk more about this? Thanks
Just listened to the most recent AMA. Despite being among those at highest risk for Ascvd and sudden death, obtaining CT Angio is not easy for many underserved groups. Any data on prevalence of negative CAC in those with sudden death? Also, early in the episode you mention food not contributing to measured high cholesterol but never provided a correlation between or advice about foods to minimize and their association with Ascvd. Any data here? Lots of food confusion. Help!
