Hello, I recently got a blood panel done and found out that my fasting glucose levels are a bit higher than I would have liked. After getting my hands on a CGM, it helped confirm that I'm consistently higher than I would like to be. I've been including Zone 2 training into my workouts and cutting out as much sugar/processed carbs from my diet as possible. My glucose levels really have not budged. What are some good ways you can recommend for blood glucose to trend in a better direction? Thank you!
I am really learning a lot from the recent podcasts on ASCHD, but I recently had an MI caused by SCAD (spontaneous coronary artery dissection). This is a non AS cause of heart attack that occurs primarily in young women and I had never heard of it before my event. Would Peter consider writing about this just to raise awareness of the condition? Luckily I was treated expeditiously in the ER because I am a 62 year old woman, but many younger women (and men) are just sent home without having troponin levels or other relevant tests done.
