Hi Peter - short of a medical intervention, what are proven or suspected ways to materially lower otherwise high ApoB? For example, would getting significantly leaner impact ApoB? How about other dietary or lifestyle interventions, or maybe supplements (e.g., psyllium husks...)?
You dove deep on EPA/DHA a couple years ago, and at that time your guest, Bill Harris, was optimistic that the STRENGTH trial would show a benefit from combined EPA/DHA. Has your thinking on this changed since the study came out showing no benefit? I heard an episode on the CardioNerds podcast which was fairly down on EPA/DHA supplementation, is it possible EPA alone is beneficial but DHA mitigates the benefits? Thanks
Pretty much all the literature and content covered here is about the prevention and treatment of CVD, or mitigating the progression of atherosclerosis. Atherosclerosis already starts in teenagers; does this mean it's inevitable and that the best we can do is slow its progression as much as we can? Is our endothelial health like our skin; no matter how well we take care of our skin, eventually it will start to wrinkle as we age?
