Overview of Glutamine and MSG

I have come across these substances on many occasions throughout your podcast episodes. It would be nice to get a bit of a primer and deep dive on these. How are they related? What about bioavailability. What is their effect on/in the brain, blood glucose levels, headaches, migraines, inflammation... Are there any studies on these substances in relation to the aforementioned effects? My n=1 experience on MSG is that often when I get a migraine attack with synesthetes, on the evening of the day before I consumed some amount of MSG.
