Why does stress cause seizures in some, and not others?

I have a friend who had one seizure years ago, with no recurrence for 15 years. But in the past 2 years, he's had 5 instances of seizures. And his doctor says it's stress. We are all under a lot of stress these days, are there any other explanations for the onset of seizures? Thank you!

Tracking supplements- is there an app?

Tracking supplements- is there an app? Hope Team Attia can help with this. As an almost 75 year old female, I enjoy following the Attia, Huberman, Rogan, and Sinclair podcasts to learn about exercise, longevity, and health. Have also signed on to Athletic Greens, Inside Tracker, and Examine to learn more about what fuels and maintains balance in my body. My question: Is there an app that can total the nutrients I consume from the various supplements I take. I’m looking for something that can alert me if my total consumption exceeds safe levels. For example, Bone Health products and Brain Health products often list similar ingredients on the label. I’ve wondered if the duplication of ingredients could be harmful. I’ve looked around on the App Store and the web have found nothing that compiles this information. I would like to plug in the brand name of the products, have the app download the ingredient list, have the app compile the total amount of vitamin, mineral, or amino-acid consumed, and then compare that result to current safety guides. Assuming supplement products are high quality and reflect actual ingredients, this compiled info would be a great tool. To my knowledge, the medicine/supplement list we all give our doctors doesn’t compile and compare. The health professionals certainly don’t have time to work on this kind of analysis. Look forward to being directed to a supplement tracking/compilation app — if one exists. Thanks.

Supplementing with Iron

I was recently comparing my supplement “stack” with others interested in longevity and was surprised that so many people called out that supplementing with iron was contrary to mid and long term health. Any thoughts on this topic?

Hydration while on a ketogenic diet

Hi Peter, After listening to your recent AMA, I had a question regarding hydration during exercise while on a ketogenic diet. You reference the benefits of carbohydrates(glucose) while hydrating during exercise. While on a ketogenic diet, we obviously try to avoid carbs. How does training while on a ketogenic diet, change the way one may approach hydration?

Breast cancer chemo alternatives

A friend had breast cancer surgery and was told chemo is next. She is hesitant and asked about alternatives (absent the quack suggestions on Google). I heard some suggested years ago and can't locate. I figured if anyone knew of sensible alternatives or less harsh treatment, you would. Thanks
