I read a summary of a study done on mice about FOX06 proteins. Apparently a high amount of FOX06 causes the liver to produce too much glycogen. Any thoughts? Any suggestions on decreasing FOX06 in the liver? I feel like my liver may be producing too much glycogen. I’m in my early 40’s, I exercise 6-8 hrs a week (zone 2/weights/hiit) and eat mostly low carb, zero added sugar, and high protein whole foods. Still, my fasting glucose stays right around 100 and A1C has been 5.7 for the last 4 tests (a little over a year). Using CGM and overnight my glucose rarely goes under 90. My post prandial spikes rarely go over 140 and within 2 hrs I’m back near 100 (occasionally there’s a little rebound and I go back to 120-130 for less than an hr) I used to be a heavy to moderate drinker although my liver function tests have always been well within range. I also recently had ultrasounds on most organs and my liver had no signs of fat or damage. My doctor says I don’t show signs of having chronically high cortisol levels, but I do notice stress induced spikes here and there. Another observation is that when I do drink (once or twice a month I will have more than 6 drinks but most days I have 0), my overnight glucose drops under 70 sometimes. I just keep thinking this is all related to my liver. Mahalo
