Ensuring 100% of Primary Care knows about apoB

Good Morning Peter or Analyst that is reading this, Let me get to the questions first - is there any studies/controlled trials that I can easily reference to my primary care doctor about the importance of apoB to encourage testing and fight for early prevention measures ie statins (im 31) ? I know that peter is very keen on getting this number down. I have 20-30 minutes with my primary doctor and going into the biology of lipids with him/her (i have read all the show notes) may not be productive. I fought with my primary for multiple visits to get me on a rouvestatin 5mg after he/she refused to prescribe me a low cost drug based on my "10 year risk". Again, after listening to peter, a 10 year risk assessment is silly especially when my family has asv risk and early death due to heart disease. I was forced to go to a naturalpath dr. to get the test (149 mg/dl apob) when i got tested. Showed him the numbers and convinced my primary after 4 visits to get me on a statin. Scary. If there are a couple studies to reference that primaries can easily look up, i think that peter could definitely move the needle on testing/low cost pharmaceutical prevention. After going on 5mg of a statin, doing a lot of fiber, and going low saturated fat, thanks to this podcast, my apoB is now 70 mg/dls without any side effects (not the 30-40 peter strives for, but far better than 149). If there is any suggestion on the next ama on how to convince your primary to care about apoB without going into the a scientific diatribe and or going through a lot of pages through the show notes here, i think it may help younger listeners that care about their cardio risk and their doctors to take early prevention seriously. thanks! love the podcast, my health has improved dramatically bc of peter and i hope to get to 95 with an awesome healthspan.

Oura ring and rhythm birth control method

Has the Oura ring been tested for detecting ovulation in pre-menopausal women and has it been used for birth control? My understanding is that current methods of the rhythm method don't work well, but I think the Oura ring could work for that purpose.

Managed intermittent hypoxy exposure

Hi Peter, what is your opinion on intermittent exposure to hypoxic air for non training purpose? We know something about hypoxic preconditioning for special cases but what about global intermittent exposure from the point of view of metabolic flexibility, oxygen transport etc? Thx

Vitamin D Podcast

Can you have Meg Mangin on the podcast and talk about vitamin D? https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25048990/ Thanks in advance for the consideration.

HGH & GLP-1s?

I'm curious about muscle mass loss with GLP-1 given suggested effect on HGH, https://ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10064408/ Would prescribing HGH and a GLP-1, along with weight lifting and a diet with adequate protein be of value, especially in deconditioned elderly, morbidly obese, but otherwise in fair health?
