Pelvic floor health

How does pelvic floor health impact women's health as we age? How to prevent problems?

Advice for preventative healthcare for the new workforce

Hi, I'm currently a 3rd-year college student and have been listening to your podcast for about 3 years now. Along the way, I've been consuming lots of information on preventative healthcare and now have a path towards medicine. My question is, what sorts of new opportunities are arising in the preventative healthcare space? Along with that is the consideration of whether med school is worth it or not. What are your thoughts on how young people can think about their future paths if they are interested in preventative healthcare?

Hemorrhoids and squats

I recently increased the weight on my squats and ended up with a a prolapsed hemorrhoid. My doctor gave me non-answers when I asked him how to go about working those same muscles if I can't squat or if I could eventually get back to doing squats. My questions are: 1) can I squat again? 2) if yes, what are the limitations? 3) If no, will leg presses accomplish the same thing (especially as it relates to the weight-bearing benefit of squats)?

Interview with Alessio Fasano, MD

I’ve looked to Dr. Attia for many years as a source of unbiased, rational and a “middle path” information on a variety of health topics. However, I have been disappointed over the years at the lack of conversations had around the microbiome (thank you for finally bringing on Michael Gershon) and foods that can be systemically deleterious for some, specifically gluten. Dr. Alessio Fasano has done incredible work in the field of Celiac and NCGS and it feels he would match Peter’s criteria for legitimacy and validity. Please consider asking Dr. Fasano on for a conversation around gluten. Thank you!

Plasmalogen Supplements- worth it?

Dr. Dayan Goodenowe talks about the importance of high levels of PLASMALOGEN in the brain. He offers a line of supplements (expensive) to support these PLASMALOGENS. What does your read of this science say?
