Chinese medicine muscle testing?

My functional medicine doc, who I love and is a board certified family physician, has started using a Chinese medicine tool where she uses these different vials of liquid, has you hold out your arm and when she holds the vial near your arm it tests for your arm strength. Supposedly, this tells her that you have certain toxins in your body if you have less strength in the area she gets. She is half Chinese by birth and trained in Chinese medicine as well as traditional medicine. Does this process make scientific sense to you? Do you know anything about it? I’m a doctors daughter and I buy into the science of procedures but am very unsure of this.

Mounjaro for IBS-D

I’ve been on Mounjaro for weight loss since January. I’ve had minimal negative side effects. However, I have had IBS-D for years and it has significantly interfered with my daily life. Since I’ve been on MJ, especially the past two months, my IBSD-D has largely resolved. Has there been any discussion of this in the medical community? I would love to stay on a low-dose of MJ just for this reason. I know there are other people who have had a similar experience.

Glucose control and minerals

Would like your views on mineral deficiency and glucose control. Eg https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7353202/#:~:text=Since%20the%20discovery%20of%20chromium,tolerance%20by%20reducing%20insulin%20resistance.

Bleeding on extended 20 day fast

In late January, I made a goal to achieve a 20 day fast. I've been fasting for years doing 3-7 day fasts, with my longest being a 14 day fast. I experienced a lot of different reactions such as Keto rash on day 14, however my most unexplained reaction that still has me wondering is heavy bleeding from my uterus. It started on day 12 and went away. Golf ball size, bight red clots that were very different from what I normally experience on a menstrual cycle. It came back day 14 and went away and day 18 it was very heavy. It did not go away and I had to go to the ER. Surprisingly, my blood panels were regular, I did not need any sort of transfusion. I've always been about mind over matter but I broke my fast coming back from the ER as I felt my body was sending a very strong message. The bleeding did not happen after breaking the fast. I've read research about the body getting rid of scar tissue and cell waste, so could that have been what took place. My question is have you ever come across this information before and can you help me understand what happened becuase the doctors couldn't?

Deep dive into Ulcerative Colitis

Hi Peter & Team Can we please have a deep dive into ulcerative colitis - My wife has had it for 8 years, She was on Rapamycin for 11 months and it was the longest time she was in remission - Unfortunately our supply of Rapamycin was stopped (it's started again now) and after 8 weeks of being off Rapa her UC flared up again. It has been a tough 6 months of trying to control it and I'm glade we have started her back on Rapamycin again. Can you please do a deep drive into UC and why Rapa helped and also what else can UC suffers be doing to fight such a debilitating illness. Also when we were with her gastroenterologist and brought up Rapa were were met with why would you want to be taking that drug and seemed annoyed for suggesting such a "dangerous drug" to treat UC.
