Plant-based diet and protein for elders

Hello and thank you for helping us learn how to be healthier as we age! I am 68 and my husband is 73. He has a bad form of prostate cancer and is on ADT. He also has a history of heart disease, which has resolved with dietary changes and help from a cardiologist (eg. statins). We try and eat a mostly plant-based diet, with meat every other day or so and very occasional eggs. My husband has quit dairy as there is some association with prostate cancer risk. New research shows that a plant-based diet benefits long-term survival in those with prostate cancer. (https://www.washingtonpost.com/wellness/2023/02/14/prostate-cancer-diet-fruits-vegetables/) So getting adequate protein is an issue for us both (good weight, BMI, blood markers, etc.) Without eggs and dairy, and with meat every other day, I'm assuming we need something like a protein powder supplement, and also should probably have soy foods often. Your ideas would be most welcome. Thanks again for your important work that helps us with the healthy aging game!

Strength training for women

Hi - I'd love to hear what your wife's fitness practice is. (or a similar/representative female patient). You mentioned that she doesn't do deadlifts due to scoliosis (which I also have), so I'd really appreciate learning more about what she is doing (or what you think an optimal regimen would be for a 30-50 year old female who is in the situation you often describe as being "thin" but having too little muscle). I'd be happy to get a personal trainer, but I worry they wouldn't have a lot of this knowledge. Is there any specific training/certification you recommend looking for a in a trainer? Thanks!

Tinnitus and Longevity Correlation?

Any correlation with tinnitus and longevity or ACM risk?

Date for in-person centenarian decathlon event

Peter often talks about the centenarian decathlon. It would be cool to actually do an in-person event for this. I know it's still half a century time, but my calendar is typically quite full. So the earlier we can plan this event the better.
