First Responders Declining Health

As police officers, some of the many challenges we face daily besides felonious acts of violence are the disruption of circadian rhythm, long work shifts (often 12 hrs), poor diet, and sitting for most of the day in a police car. Now I know that is a lot of issues to tackle, but the specific one I would like you to discuss is the effects of night shift work on circadian rhythm and other diseases. What is the best shift to work to avoid this? 8s, 10s, 12s? How can a night shift worker combat these health risks but still be an important part of a functioning society in a profession that is required? And is there a direct correlation between shift workers and cancer, CVD, etc? I'm really trying to address these health issues for current first responders and future police officers. Thank you.

ApoB in blacklisted state

If my doctor isn’t interested in ordering an ApoB test, and I live in a state where self ordering of tests is blacklisted, what options are there?

Chronic Pain Expert

Hey Peter and team, I work in healthcare and focus on chronic pain management in a PM&R setting. I would be awesome to hear from someone in the chronic pain world to discuss the neuroscience of pain, the pain neuro-tag/neuro matrix, and why chronic pain is becoming more prevalent, and the complexities of treating individuals with chronic pain.

Zone 2/Heart Rate/ Sauna Yoga Vs Zone 2/Heart Rate/ Other Cardio

If a person, relatively healthy and active - did 1 hour of sauna session with basic stretching and kept that HR consistent of 125 (my zone 2) VS if that same person did 1 hour of another cardio but not in the sauna and kept avg HR the same and in zone 2 : what results should we expect in these 2 people? could one assume they would get similar benefits?

Centenarian Olympic goals

I am very much a fan of your idea of the centenarian Olympics and setting specific goals for each decade. I’m a 56 year old woman who recently traveled around Italy solo carrying my own bags through trains and public transit and walking 10+ miles a day on old cobblestone streets. I’ve always done this but was even more inspired by you talking about the value of doing things like this. My question is what are some reasonable goals for each decade? As much as I want to set goals, I don’t want to set unrealistic goals that will leave me continually disappointed, and it can be hard for the average person to understand the inevitable nature of our decline (I believe you said it is non-linear). Can you provide some thoughts on setting these goals for each decade? Thank you.
