Would be great to hear from someone like Dr. Ben Bocchicchio, Dr. Ted Naiman, and Keith Baar (PhD at UC Davis) on intensity of exercise. They mention that strength training should be done a couple times a week, it should done slowly, with maximal weight, and taken to failure. What do you think about this in the context of other recommendations for strength training?
You've stated that you shoot for 2g/day of Magnesium. Does this refer to elemental Magnesium or the total mass of the salt? For example, with Magnesium threonate 2,000 mg is 144 mg elemental Magnesium whereas 2,000 mg of Magnesium Oxide is 1,120 mg of elemental Magnesium; thus, taking 2,000 mg of each will be vastly different in terms of Magnesium consumption. 2,000 mg of elemental Magnesium would be a lot so I'm guessing it's the total for the salt but then it's difficult to standardize between different organic and inorganic salts. Thanks for your great podcast.
Peter, I am a recent convert to the podcast and enjoy it, in particular, the perspective from Azra Raza was a fascinating new one. I am a London based Venture Capitalist, currently incubating a new oncology company. There are a number of different directions we can take the company, so I'd like to ask the following question: If you could go after any new therapeutic approach in oncology, which would you target to have the biggest impact on patients (and make a commercial return)? Many Thanks, Rob
