I have been obese for most of my life. However in my early 20s I went from 150 kgs (Not Pounds) to 80 Kgs. And I was fit for 4-5 years. However I started gaining my weight after a slip disk and my Testosterone (both Total and Free) have been much much below normal for the last 2 years. I gained 40 kgs again. I started fasting and lost 20 kgs in 3 months. However its been a year since and I haven't been able to lose even a single kg of weight despite Gym, Walking 2 hours a day, Diet from a registered practicitoner, Protein, BCAA and L Arginine Supplements. What should my direction be
Tim Ferriss in his book Four Hour Body mentions a workout style he calls Occam’s Protocol which is doing a single set of 7 slow reps to failure for each exercise. It’s an extremely time efficient way to work out. It’s not clear how close this gets to the right amount of volume needed. I hit every muscle group twice per week this way. You mentioned several times that you use the sauna immediately before bed. Do you not shower before getting in bed? Considering that sweating is supposed to excrete a variety of toxins (bpa, cadmium, mercury, etc.), is this less effective if one doesn't shower immediately after?
