Long Covid

I have several friends with bad after effects of Covid19 (post-acute sequelae of Covid19). We very much need to hear from an expert on protocols to address treatment of such patients. Pubmed has many hypotheses on this (eg diminished fat burning and mitochondrial issues) but it would help to have an expert discuss the likely various causes and possible treatments.

Hi Peter - I’d love to get your thoughts on Urolithin A / Mitopure. Various clinical trials seem to suggest a beneficial effect on maintaining muscle mass as we age, but I always enjoy your and the team’s take on the rigor of such trials and other thoughts you may have.

Glycated LDL

When the Apo-B100 of an LDL is glycated (glucose molecules attach to it), can this glycated LDL still be recognized by the LDL receptors at the liver? If NOT, is it correct to say that statins (which work by increasing the number of LDL receptors) would NOT be effective at removing this glycated LDL from circulation?

Small LDL vs Large LDL

Is a small LDL more atherogenic than a large LDL? If yes, what are the things that can increase the number of small LDL?
