Doctor Database

You have lots of connections across the USA and a large following. Have you considered creating a process by which your subscribers can connect with a Doctor whose practice aligns with what you have studied? Perhaps the doctor in question could be graded by your subscribers to help future patients choose wisely? I would be willing to drive 300 miles and pay significant funds for a doctor who is well grounded but also focused on addressing root causes rather than medicating symptoms.

Practicing balance

Hi Peter, I have the blackboard you have recommended and am constantly looking for things I can do while on meetings. The blackboard works well even if you are on a video call. I also practice sitting on a stability balance with knees cross or on my knees (not as a chair). I also have a gibbon indoor slack line which is a great indoor way to balance (much harder then the blackboard and more fun). Its has a built in frame and goes great in front of any couch. I am wondering what are other balancing things I can work in while doing either audio only calls or video calls?

Isolated systolic hypertension?

Iis this is condition that needs to be addressed/managed and, if so, what are the best treatment/management approach?

What happens at sustained very low body fat in a female?

When a women reaches 10% body fat and stays there, what happens to the body? I have always been lean but only recently measured at 10% (Nov 2021). Amenorrhea has existed for 10+ years and circulation problems have existed. At a sudden point, various other issues started occurring, but due to the suddenness, it would not seem to be a result of the consistently low body fat. But, could it have just reached a point of body systems failure because of it being so long? This includes an ER visit due to stoke like symptoms, a hard time breathing, chest pains and nausea, fatigue, and worsening coldness with even poorer circulation among others. These are frequent. I am working to add body fat, hoping to increase estrogen production again. My estradiol has been at the lowest levels (undetectable) for many years, and a recent dexa confirmed osteopenia. This is all at age 45. I exercise daily, which included strength training and cardio and yoga. I eat healthy - try to stick to whole foods only. No gluten (not allergic, but test measures a sensitivity). I have added protein shakes and more food daily to increase calories. Can I reverse this and get estrogen back, get my cycle back, feel normal again? What level of body fat will it take to get there? I have put on weight and 2.6% body fat (BODPOD measure; same machine as first time measured). I also started birth control to get estrogen in me. Is this all a wasted effort? Would the body even reach a 'breaking point' and go crazy because too long at a very low body fat, or could it be a result of some unknown issue? I have had every medical test (stress tests, CT scan, many rheumatologic blood tests and even pulmonary test), and nothing has shown as a potential. My lp(a) is 150+ ml and LDL was >200. A statin has lowered that to 90. I asked for Apo B measure (after the statin), and I am in the upper 60s. Could these be my problems and not the body fat?

Deep Dive Professional Health Care Visits

If our aim is to last to the Centennial Olympics. When we visit a doctor to get a yearly health check, what should we be testing every year from the age of 40? What should we not test each year? Could you deep dive into what we should be looking in those tests results and what we should be concerned with for longevity. - Comprehensive Lipid panel - Measure APOb - Measure APOa - Comprehensive vitamin panel - Dexa scan - Prostate check - Breast cancer screening - Skin check melanomia - Bowl cancer screening - Colon cancer screening - If we check our bones, body fat and muscles with the Dexa scan, should we not have some sort of check we could complete for the brain? Is there something out there that we should be doing to measure results each year in this area? - Should we do a VO2Max even if we are "average fitness", for example we do 20-30mins of exercise a day like walking. - Should we be doing a coronary calcium scan? (and same for the arteries going to the brain around the neck. - Is there any other tests we should be doing? as every country has different guidelines for their doctors to follow.
