Serious questions here - how does a man’s frequency of ejaculation impact health? This kind of topic is often addressed by sex therapist who approach it from a relationship perspecive or by cult like groups who claim abstaining will improve focus. I want to know what medical science says about this. If my normal and comfortable routine is say 3 times per week, are there benefits to raising or lowering that number with intention. Or does it not matter? I’m currious about prostate health, sex and stress hormone levels, dopamine, athletic performance, depression, etc. Lots of questions and sub-topics here but you get the idea.
Sinclair’s work focuses on brain health and longevity; Layman‘s a focuses on muscle health and longevity. Both bring wonderful research to back their concepts. Where do they meet, where do they diverge and why? I’d love to hear you review and tease out the many wonderful, yet occasionally at odds, diet suggestions these two researchers have.
I understand the basics about lipids, enough to realize that high ApoB is bad. However, I'm struggling to lower it. In spite of my strenuous efforts over the last 12 months (Mediterranean diet, tactical supplementation, restful sleep, regular exercise), my ApoB increased by 15%, from 125 mg/dL to 146 mg/dL. How bad is this and what should I do? Should I ask my doctor to put me on statins? Note: I'm 24, not overweight, and don't suffer from any disease.
