Treatment of back pain and other conditions

There are a lot of different professionals working in this space. Chiropractors, osteopaths, acupuncturists etc. who should be trusted and who should be avoided. Also, what do you think of the use of SSNRIs in the treatment of chronic pain and other medications that are used for this purpose?

Don Layman Followup - Insect Protein

I wish insect protein would have been discussed in The Drive # 224 with Don Layman. Can you offer any comments on what you've heard about insect protein and whether there are discussions in your circles about considering insect protein as a viable alternative for future protein sources? P.S. I don't want to eat bugs!

Alternating weeks for types of exercise

Hi Peter, I am an internal medicine resident with a busy schedule with a family and young kids and find I often have time for only ~30 minutes of exercise/day. I’ve devoted most of this to weight lifting 6 days per week as I enjoy this. I enjoy multi-faceted approach to exercise highlighted in the most recent AMA. I’m curious to your thoughts on staggering by weeks. For instance zone2/5 paired with Ruck in week 1 with weight lifting in week 2 and alternate. Thanks

Dietary Protein - Don Layman

Wow! That podcast alone was one of the most interesting I have listened to. The show notes were fantastic. Thanks to you and Don for a "revolution" in my understanding of food and protein. I am 60 years old and very interested in how I can consume protein to trigger mTOR in the first meal of the day. Are there good examples of animal protein choices and amounts that would be sufficient for a 180-pound male to achieve the "first meal of the day" leucine threshold discussed in the lecture. Thanks

Breathing

Please have an episode on breathing exercises and a whole bunch of exercise equipment available in the market, especially for smokers.
