Zone 2: straight vs in/out

Peter in one of your related podcasts you mentioned re: zone 2, spending A) 1 hr straight at that pace is better than B) 4 hr ride, where one goes in and out of Z2 for 1hr total. even though both examples equate to 1hr in Z2, you mentioned A is better than B. I couldn't find any studies; can you/your team point to some on this?

Osteoarthritis

Unless I am mistaken, I haven't seen you cover Osteoarthritis in a deep dive format. Prevalence is very high, especially in older individuals and one of main causes of inactivity in older age. Total joint replacements on rise, even in middle aged adults. Would love to get an episode on causes, risk factors, prevention strategy, etc.

PPM1K and EAAs

My question is regarding gene PPM1K and the possible increase in blood glucose/insulin resistance for patients who supplement with BCAA's.  First off I am curious about your opinion on the research surrounding this topic, do you agree that BCAA's can increase glucose and insulin resistance or is there more to the story? Additionally, I'm wondering if there is any research that looks at essential amino acids (EAAs) on the same topic.  I wasn't able to find any and now that EAA's are in vogue I'm wondering if we have any idea if this is going to be an issue.

Adiponectin

You’ve several times discussed a population of patients whose lipid profiles went awry on keto, but improved changing from saturated to monounsaturated fats. Have you ever checked their Adiponectin levels ? Do you think the improved Adiponectin levels associated with increases mono intake was a contributing factor to their improvement?
