Revised Colonoscopy Recommendation to Start at Age 45 (still advised for healthy lifestyle?)

I see that the official recommendation has decreased the age for an initial colonoscopy from 50 to 45. This appears to be based in increased incidence of colon cancers at a younger age. However, I wonder if that increase is due to lifestyle factors that don't apply to someone who has a long history of healthful choices. Would you recommend early (age 45) colonoscopies for those who eat mostly whole, quality foods (plant & animal), exercise (cardio & strength), take care of sleep, get out in nature, etc., and have no family history of colon cancers?

Exercise planning

I have heard Peter's weekly workout regimen, which he has described in detail. Given the frequency of cardiopulmonary workouts (Zone 2 and 5) and given that they are generally leg based, is there no issue with cardio leg workouts (eg cycling) the day after doing leg lifting (eg squats and dead lifts). Do your legs not need recovery after strength training or even after Zone 5 training? I wonder the same thing about same day strength and cardio/endurance workouts. If it's upper body strength, obviously less of an issue. However, I have heard a trainer mention that the hormonal stimulation for strength building and endurance building can be antagonistic, which would affect things even if the same day strength workout is upper body. I'd love to hear your comments. Thanks for all the great work.

Calculating METS

Peter, most exercise equipment will give a read out of watts, KJ's, or Calories. Can I use any of these metrics to determine METS? It seems like they would be related, even if requiring additional information like body height or weight

Infrared and Near-Infrared Panels for Chronic Pain & Skin Aging

Is a good-quality, but small, IR and NIR panel worth using for those who don't have the space or cash for a full sauna? I'd be interested in reducing chronic foot inflammation associated with skeletal deformity (bunions and associates), as well as the purported anti-aging benefits for facial skin.

Help for Ocular Rosacea

Are you aware of anything I can do (besides go through bottles of steroid eyedrops) to address ocular rosacea? My primary symptom is chronic dry eyes, along with periodic redness. I'm otherwise healthy, mid-forties, lean and fit, good diet, sleep, stress management, etc. Fish oil? CBD? Near-infrared? Magic wand?
