Fully hydrogenated oil = Saturated Fat?

Due to the stability of saturated fat could the synthetically created version, in fully hydrogenated oils, be considered equivalent despite the unappealing chemical process. Or, if I removed the sugar from my Jiffy peanut butter would I suffer any worse effects than missing out on the benefits of quality butter?

peptides

Hello Peter and the team. I would love to hear your input and what the science says about using peptides for immune support, health span, and also treating inflammation in joints and repairs like knee meniscus. thank you adriana

Contradictions & Content

I'm a new follower/member - so far, I've enjoyed the content and the emphasis on critical thinking, research, etc. However, I'm confused by the views of two of your guests - Layne Norton and Dr. Jason Fung. You apparently respect the views of both, however Mr. Nortan basically calls out Dr. Fung for "spreading misinformation" in this article: https://biolayne.com/articles/research/its-not-calories-its-hormones-a-response-to-dr-jason-fung/. My perception is you support the views of both of these professionals, yet Mr. Norton's article unpacks Dr. Fungs claims point by point and refutes them. It's pretty compelling, although I am new to this topic / space. What is your take on these two very different views and why there is such a 'mis-match'? I ask as I'm left not knowing how much trust to put into the information on this site. How does the average person like me sort thru this to determine what is valid? Sorry for my first question to be a bit controversial, but I just want to understand. Thanks!

Danger of spiking heart rate thru vigorous exercise?

I'm a 55-year old F mountain biker. I sporadically exercise and my heart rate gets to 200+ for short durations on very tough, steep climbs. I've not been able to find any answers as to whether this is good, bad, or indifferent for my heart. Am I stressing my heart by going all out occasionally? Thanks!

Benchmark Exercises/Goals for the Centurion Olympics by age and gender for Subscribers

On the Huberman Podcast you mentioned a few of the exercises that Beth helped to develop that you use in your medical practice, to know that we are on track for the Centurion Olympics. Dead hang, Air Squat, Farmer Carry 80% of body weight, Deadlift body weight. Could you PLEASE, pretty please, give your subscribers a chart based on age and activity. LOVE to make it a goal to be on target with all of these! Some of these were much harder than I would have guessed, so need the correct goals to get on track. Even more fun would be if you or Beth or someone demonstated the exercises IF anything is a bit out of the ordinary. So far the list is pretty straightforward but don't know what else is on the list. Also it wasn't that easy to find on your website how to determine a rough approximation of our VO2 max , so that would be helpful too. Thank you!
