Is there a concern about rapamycin affecting menstrual cycles?

I recently started on rapamycin but my menstrual cycle was affected (not regular any longer). Is this a concern?

Effect of alcohol on sleep

On the ama podcasts, Peter stated the alcohol kills his REM sleep. For me, alcohol blocks my deep sleep as determined by my ring. My REM sleep is in tge 2.5 hour range no matter what but with alcohol my deep sleep is 10-20 min and without it is over 60 min. What does this mean?

Dr Joyner vs Dr San-Millan

After listening to the Dr Joyner and the Dr San-Millan podcasts it seems to me that they have differing approaches. San-Millan is laser focused on zone 2 exercise to increase mitochondrial function. He and you seem to advocate for spending most of our “cardio” exercise time in zone 2 (below 2mmol lactate), while Dr Joyner seems to be routinely exercising at much higher levels of exertion with no specific focus on zone 2. Has your thinking on zone 2 changed at all after speaking with Dr Joyner? Thanks!

What qualifications can we look at to have more faith in a clinical study?

The most recent newsletter re: poorly designed Vitamin D study made me wonder, what are the highest standards in the world of academic research we layman can look at to determine a study’s results were rigorously scrutinized and accepted by experts? Clearly, there will always be folks who do not properly design experiments, but shouldn’t there also be rigorous standards preventing these from being published (and not wasting grant money in the first place)? I work at Google and AB tests are heavily scrutinized by the most senior folks before results can be accepted. I would hope this is also the case for academia, but seems like isn’t so. Aside from being able to get a paper published, are there other qualifications consumers can look for to feel more confident the results were rigorously scrutinized? For example, are there certain journals that are harder to be published in and more trusted by experts in the community?

Endocrinologist Interview or Endocrinology AMA

Will you please host an AMA or Interview to cover most common medical problems seen in this realm and their approach for management. Maybe with emphasis on how fasting and Keto diets may affect hormonal systems.
