What average glucose should I be targeting? How best can I bring it down? I've been wearing a Dexcom G6 CGM for almost a month. Avg glucose - 124 mg/dL, standard deviation- 21 mg/dL. Target Range is set at 70-180 mg/dL; Time in Range is 98%. 56 yrs old white male. Non-diabetic, hypertensive, high cholesterol. In the process of making lifestyle changes. I was able to talk my insurer into covering the Dexcom despite not being diabetic.
I would like to suggest you include a discussion of orthobiologic interventions in a future podcast. Since there is so much misinformation on the treatments among both practitioners & patients, I suggest interviewing Dr Centeno, Regenexx Clinic in Denver. Here is a link to their research: https://regenexx.com/resources/research/ Dr. Centeno also has a great educational blog searchable by topic - a worthwhile example: https://regenexx.com/blog/did-you-get-the-prp-injection-you-thought-you-paid-for/
Dosing guidelines for the use of Rapamycin in healthy aging have been extremely hard to come by (for me) when searching the internet. I'd love a deep dive in a future podcast on the best-known information re: dosing today. What is the range that has generally been used? (Eg., where do people start in terms of mg/week and where do they scale up to?) Are there factors one should consider such as age or weight?
