Hi Peter, you recommend 1000-1200 mg calcium for bone health, but isn’t calcium a big risk factor for cardiovascular disease? Could you please help me understand this? Thank you for all of your great AMAs they are my favorite episodes (not counting the Week of Dayspring).
My son is 20, active (lifts weights regularly, plays college baseball). After an endoscopy, his doctor diagnosed him with gastritis. He takes prilosec from time to time and it offers relief, but that's not a long-term solution for a young healthy man is it? Is adopting a strict diet his only chance of not having this plaque him (and would that work?) Wondering about digestive enzymes or any more natural ways to calm his system. Thanks! My Father had cancer of the esophagus, and I worry that my son might develop that if this isn't kept under control.
