With blood pressure being an important factor in cardiovascular health, I’d love to see an episode dedicated to controlling it. I eat healthy, exercise 6 times a week according to your guidelines, and meditate, but my systolic blood pressure is always elevated -140 ish-. Diastolic is usually 80 or less. I take my readings at home, daily (multiple times), at approximately the same time. All heart rate markers suggest a strong heart (superior heart rate recovery after level 5 intensity workout, very low resting pulse in the mid 40’s, etc). I think my BP monitor is accurate enough (OMRON series 10) Anyway, I think this would be a welcome subject for more listeners. I love your show and consider it a pillar in my life. Thanks for all you do.
Dear Peter and Team, I am a non-diabetic and wear a CGM for athletic training reasons. I have noticed that my CGM routinely reads in the low 60s (mg/dL) and sometimes even the high 50s periodically at night while I am asleep. Some companies like Levels and Nutrisense have advised their customers that if they roll over and apply extra pressure by sleeping on their CGM, the CGM can give a false low reading. My blood glucose levels are typically between 70 mg/dL and 100 mg/DL the entire day and rarely spike above 100, so the levels are in the lower range to begin with. However, I will sometimes get a reading in the 60s even during the day. I feel fine in general and don't feel like I am crashing or having a hypoglycemic crisis. Have you seen this in your patients that wear a CGM and what advice can you give for people that see this type of data?
