Value of “estimated VO2 max”

I cycle with a heart rate strap, power meter and Garmin computer. It tells me that my VO2 max is “Superior” and my fitness age is 20. Given I am a weekend warrior who is 57, is this at all useful? I’ve also done a stress test which gave me similar imputed results. I’m thinking of doing a real test to see, as it all seems a bit optimistic, but wanted your perspective on the value of these consumer electronics.

Training/longevity with SVT

Hi there so I’ve recently learned that I have a condition called SVT. So I am re-orienting to how I train and how I look at longevity. I was doing high intensity interval training and weightlifting as well as running without aggravating this condition about a year and a half ago but something changed and now I’m not sure how to train and how to proceed with this new diagnosis. FTP zone for clearing lactate

I recall you stating that lower zone three (FTP) would get someone just under the two millimole of lactate threshold. How is inefficient would upper zone two FTP training be for increasing mitochondrial function? I would prefer to err on that side than possibly breaking the two millimole of lactate threshold at FTP zone three. Also would you suggest increasing the workout time if using upper zone two as the proxy?

HEALTH EFFECTS AND DANGERS OF VAPING

I know this is a bit off the health / performance focus of your practice. But, I'm wondering if there's a way to do a brief video on the dangers of vaping (both nicotine and THC) and the health risks, mental and physical, on the teenage body / brain? Since the pandemic started vaping among teens has more than doubled. As a father, it's been difficult to find a source that is clear, concise, direct, and that I trust to lay out the dangers of this issue. Many Thanks!

prednisone post weight training/zone2

How long after weight training should I wait to take prednisone so as not to blunt some of the benefits of the training? Does it matter on days I do zone 2?
