I was interested in your recent article on Coldwater therapy and have been participating in sauna and then cold water therapy one after the other but I wondered why Peter hasn’t investigated what Wim Hof is doing and I would be interested in his take on some of the experiments he spoke about where he was able to control his heart beat and get rid of viruses to me that seem like a very interesting elements that should be explored and I wondered if Peter had looked into the validity of some of his claims
The TSH study that Nir referred to in your recent podcast points to the genetic predisposition to higher TSH and longevity. Does higher TSH, lets say under 10 also tend to lead to higher small particle LDL and at what point might you treat high TSH in the absence of symptoms if small/med particle LDL is creeping up?
I was regularly doing 16/8 intermittent fasting for about two months. My first meal was around 12pm and second meal around 5:30pm. I noticed that, after dinner, I would get incredibly tired and fall asleep, almost like clockwork. I went back to eating three meals, with an oatmeal and protein powder breakfast and regular meals throughout the day. Now, I never get tired after dinner! On a podcast, you said that some people will get postprandial elevated insulin levels, when intermittent fasting. Can you explain more what is happening here
