I'm a 38 year old man and have been doing ~2 sessions of ~3 hour BMX style cycling (street trials). I recently started using a Polar HR monitor. Results are typically 30-50 min zone 5, 90ish min zone 4, with the rest mostly in zone 3. I feel healthy and have not had issues with recovery. Could there be damaging side effects I am missing?

Your team is so good at clarifying complex data I’d love to hear a brief analysis. Thank you for all the amazing work.
Which is more important, good control of glucose and Lp(a) with a low carb diet or good control of LDL-C with a low fat diet? Sarah Hallberg has demonstrated that a low carb diet controls and even reverses type 2 diabetes. David Ludwig published in January 2022, in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, that a low carb diet lowered Lp(a) whereas a high carb (low fat) diet raised Lp(a). A recent Webinar sponsored by the Family Heart Foundation, with Calvin Yeang as presenter showed how a low fat diet and statins raise Lp(a). Shouldn't we be doing low carb instead of low fat?
