What is the proper target for total testosterone and free T based on age. I am 72 and depending on the sources I choose the numbers vary widely. Should I care only about free t or is total T important. My total T has been in the range of 650-750 for the last 4 years. My free T has varied significantly from below the bottom of the range to about the top of the range. Currently it is smack in the middle. I take boron 2mg daily and I have a Joove which I use atleast every other day.
While I absolutely love the depth of coverage of metabolic syndrome from so many angles, there is so much insanely cool research around the role of the microbiome and the gut as yet another endocrine organ, that it feels like a gaping hole in the coverage! It's an eye popping subject and would love to see the same level of passion for systemic thinking encompass the gut. I know Drs Sonneberg of Stanford have done some wonderful writing and presentations on the subject and would be good candidates to come on the podcast? (and I bet there are lots more).
