Is there a cutoff of AST and ALT that if you are below a certain threshold you definitively do not have fatty liver disease? I know Peter has mentioned his preference is for <20 which is significantly less than the "normal" range for most labs. If I am at a 30 for both, does that mean I do or do not have fatty liver? Do you have to get a sonogram to know for sure?
This question has been on my mind for some time, specifically, how do we optimize the neurological aspect of strength? I recently had the opportunity to question my neurologist neighbor over dinner who made clear that strength gains come much more from the neurological pathways rather than the breakdown and rebuilding of muscle. This implies to me that we don't have to lose strength as we age if it's really "all in our heads"?
