Tongue clipping

What's your opinion on clipping the tongue web of babies/toddlers with short tongues? I had mine done when I was young because people had a hard time understanding my words but still had to go to speech therapy. I had it clipped more after college, and oh my goodness I love the results! I went from seriously struggling with tongue twisters to being able to rap along clearly and crisply to fast songs like Big Ole Freak by Megan Thee Stallion (I am trying to match Techn9ne but he is insanely fast). It's not just training myself to say words faster and faster though, I don't think I would be physically able to do this if my tongue was still as short as it was growing up, so it bums me out when people poo-poo it, but I know I'm just one case study in a sea of other people with clipped tongues.

Testosterone raising in young healthy individuals

Hello I have a T lower then 400 and want to know how to raise naturally, I’m 22 and workout every day (4-5days weight 2-3 cardio). And eat a Whole Foods mostly plant diet and sleep 7-8 hours (not just in bed). Stuck on how to improve

Blood pressure deep dive

Given blood pressure is a key input to vascular health, I would love to see an AMA deep dive. There are quite a few questions through the AMA forum. Some topics that would be helpful to investigate: 1. My own experience, and looking through the forum, others too, we have questions about measurements variability. I can easily affect both the systolic and diastolic pressure by changing the height of my arm when I self-test. Lots of google searching finds very few clear authority on arm position to get an accurate BP reading. Further, when I goto my doctor, invariably, the reading is higher than my home measurements because the practitioners rarely raise my arm to the level I’ve read that it should be. So, I’m very confused about what I should be doing. What is the best position that I should be measuring with at home, and how should I handle this in the physicians’ office? 2. My heart rate is generally low; age 49, minimum RHR is ~40-42. Commonly, my blood pressure is not ideal. In the high 120s over 70-80. While I will continue to seek to bring both of those readings down, I am curious if there is any concept of mean arterial pressure. Given, a lower mean heart rate, I suspect MAP is lower, but I have not found any research on MAP correlation with vascular health.

Statin and Ezetimibe damage to Liver

Is an elevated ALT caused by Statin & Ezetimibe as damaging to the liver as an elevated ALT that is caused by sugar/alcohol? (My ALT was great until I started taking a statin & Ezetimibe. Now my ApoB is great, but my ALT is 46.)

Blood Work & Other Test Basics

I'm a long-time podcast listener and new paying member. As I've been poking through member content its a bit overwhelming to figure out what (if anything) I should be doing to optimize my health through data. Is there a basic set of tests and blood work you suggest for new clients along with the parameters for how to interpret them?
