1-any advise on specific protocol Acarbose vs Berberine use pre- carbs ingestion? Does this mean you will not replenish muscle glycogen stores? 2- what Peter thinks about swimming (sea or pool) as Zone 2 training? suitable?
I have been a longtime faster (usually 3 days/month) and this has been great for me overall. The only downside was a change in bowel habits. A couple years ago this resulted in a painful fissure. I saw a GI doc who recommended miralax daily, which I have used without problems. He said it was safe to use indefinitely (which I have also found to be echoed in online advice). It has helped digestion while other things (minor dietary changes and increased water consumption) have not. This is really only a problem after starting fasting. Do you have any safety concerns or a way of thinking about the downsides of long term miralax use? Thanks for all your work, it has greatly improved my health and life!
