Would you do a postmortem on #112 Ned David? The phase 3 trial of their drug failed to show any effect. This is of course pretty common, and one only gets to phase 3 if phases 1 and 2 went well, but the phase 1 and phase 2 discussed in #112 seemed to be working so well that zero effect would not have been expected. It would be interesting to hear what Ned David thinks explains the results.
Beeing a type 2 diabetic since 2010 I am looking for a way to reverse the condition. I started fasting only water for 3 days each week. Will this work, rest of the week low carb. Medication prior to starting was Metformin 500mg bidaily, and 25mg jardiance per day.
I had an endometrial ablation over 10 years ago, and I haven’t had periods since (with a few minor spotting episodes years ago). I am definitely experiencing peri menopausal or menopausal symptoms now (weight gain of about 5 lbs in 6 months, loss of lean muscle mass (measured on dexa scan and despite regular weight training), headaches, breast tenderness, mild cramping, anxiety, difficulty staying asleep at night, and (before getting an Ooler) waking up sweaty at night. My trouble is that I don’t know where I would be in my cycle, so I can’t figure out the benefit of doing a hormone workup. Is there one? How do you tell where in the menopausal spectrum a woman is when there is no way of telling where in the cycle she is? How do you determine dosage for HRT in such a case?
