More exercise vs Shorter eating window

Sometimes in the evening, several hours after I have finished my food for the day, I will have enough motivation to workout if I eat first, but not enough motivation to workout if I don’t eat. Is a workout or a shorter eating window more important?

Heart rate- Maffetone

I recently listened to your talk with Phil Maffetone. I have been trying to improve my running speed and distance. In the talk Maffetone recommends training at MAF, and you had asked about going a couple bpm above using his heart rate formula. Is he talking about average heart rate? Mine heart rate bounces all over the place for about the first 5 minutes of any exercise, then stabilizes. But even on a machine where the wattage is set, I can still vary 10 bpm above or below my target of 134 bpm. Does this matter? I realize this might vary for everyone, and vary across age etc. still, it would be helpful to know how to incorporate different ideas to achieve my goals.

Alcohol, acetaldehyde, and Zbiotics

There are several popular AMA topic requests on an alcohol deep dive, and this is similar to that. I just came across a new product called Zbiotics, which effectively removes acetaldehyde (the primary metabolic product of ethanol) from our GI tract before it gets to the liver in order to reduce hangovers. While my weekend n=1 study suggested this is a legitimate product, I am more interested in whether the technology could actually impact the long-term adverse health impacts of alcohol (dementia, liver issues, cancers, etc). My fundamental question is whether acetaldehyde is causal in these long-term impacts of alcohol and whether removing it in the GI tract could have long-term health benefits (not just hangovers). The science on Google gets heavy but appears promising!

CAROL Bike -REHIT

Has Peter done any research on the CAROL bike? If so his thoughts?

testosterone for post menopausal women

Hi Peter Your AMA on testosterone was very informative , and I realized that post menopausal women are missing out on the benefits of testosterone. Is there any data on giving small amounts of replacement to postmenopausal women? I am a very healthy fit 65 yo female, and would love the muscle building , fat reducing , lipid lowering etc... effects if there are any in women.
