Matt, you often speak about two kinds of insomnia: sleep-onset and sleep-maintenance. But I have never heard you elaborate on a subtype of the latter: Early Morning Awakening Insomnia. My Oura Ring tells me my sleep efficiency is generally good (90%) but I don't seem to be able to stay asleep consistently for more than six and a half hours. I have tried about everything, including playing with my sleep schedule in different fashions. Unfortunately with no positive results: the earlier I go to sleep, the earlier I wake up. My brain just does not seem to be willing to get more sleep than that. But it does not seem to be enough provided how tired I usually feel. Any hacks you could recommend I may not have already tried? Thank you very much!
You have stated on a previous podcast that you are not accepting new patients. Will this still be the case in 2022? And does this apply for all providers within your San Diego practice? Do you have any recommendations for physicians within the greater San Diego area that apply a similar approach to medicine?
I recently listened to your podcast on Joe Rogan and know you spoke briefly about your feelings on COVID vaccines for small kids as well as boosters. Would love for you to do an updated deep dive on your thoughts and research on COVID for those of us unsure of vaccinating our kids (I am really struggling with this for that moment when they’re available for my 2 year old). We also have boosters becoming available for those of us already vaccinated and would love deeper insight into why you feel you want/should wait, and not get an MRNA booster. Is there harm in doing it?
