You’ve been a longtime proponent of muscle mass to shield against adverse effects of aging. In light of your discussion with Jeremy Loenneke (#179) where he presented his argument of decoupling strength from muscle mass, has your opinion changed? Is muscle mass or muscle strength more important for prolonged health span?
Is there any evidence, either in the literature or with your personal experience, for Prednisone as a performance enhancer? Obviously, long term use is unsustainable, but I was curious if it could be effective in some sort of pulsatile way for exercise and/or an athletic event.
