Thoughts on NAC and Glycine supplementation for antiaging effects

There was a recent study using NAC and Glycine on older adults and essentially everything they measured improved ie muscle strength and balance, cognition, insulin resistance, inflammation , mitochondrial function etc. Would for you and your team to review the study and gives us your thoughts about it. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8002905/

Calibre of retinal vascular network as a biomarker for chronic disease

Hi Peter, My wife just today went to the optometrist and was told that the vascular network around her retina were extremely healthy. The optometrist also mentioned that they can understand a lot of a patients health as it related to lifestyle from this network. I have since done a very brief dive into literature and come up with a few studies; I wondered if this is something you are using as an early stage detection screening tool, as something you use regularly, if it's something you are aware of or if you feel this is an area that could be useful to those working in the space of prevention and chronic disease? Thanks for what you do, it's been a revelation to me to have you and your team dive into the research as you do. I and my clients are benefitting greatly from your time creating this content and my time digesting it. Thank You

Squatting vs Deadlifting

Hi Peter. It is well documented how much of a deadlifting fanatic you are, in particular because of their pivotal role in allowing you to compete in the centenarian olympics. But how does squatting fit into this? Do you see squatting as a complement to deadlifting or a substitute? I’m especially interested in how you view squatting as an alternative to deadlifting in the context of safety (i.e. for the average joe could the risk/reward trade off be better for squatting vs deadlifting given potential for injury of the latter?) Thanks!

Statistical significance

Statistical significance is often mentioned when discussing study results in AMA episodes. Do you take into account the criticisms of statistical significance as set out in the Nature opinion piece from March 2019?
