Testosterone undecanoate

In podcast #180 (AMA on TRT), you mentioned that the dosing in this study didn't make sense with large doses given at baseline, 6 weeks, and then every 3 months for 2 years. https://www.thelancet.com/journals/landia/article/PIIS2213-8587(20)30367-3/fulltext However, injectable testosterone undecanoate appears to have a half-life of 33.9 days so injecting 1,000 mg every 3 months does not seem so ridiculous although an argument can be made for injecting a third of that dose every month. https://go.drugbank.com/articles/A176954

What is the take-away?

Would you consider using these AMAs to summarize some possible take-aways from discussions with your guests, especially when the subject matter involves highly-technical medical information? I have a doctorate, yet it is in the humanities. I often listen to your podcasts twice, study the show notes, and am still not sure about "what might this mean for my choices?" You have built a lot of trust by being scientific and careful, and it would be a service to those like myself if you might (with all necessary caveats) say "this is what this might mean for choices that I would present to my clients (or family). Another request is to use this platform to do reviews of lay publications of high-quality health books and articles. Perhaps Bob could do this type of AMA on his own :-), or you could interview him during these reviews--as you did before? This wish has come up many times, but increased after your interview with the authors of "Estrogen Matters." Long-winded for a Q/A, but I hope the idea intrigues you and might be a possible addition to your already great format.

Fat Flux / Biggest Loser gaining back weight and more!

Episode #157 regarding fat flux is extremely compelling. I’m wondering how that relates to what happened to “the Biggest Loser” folks when they eventually gained back all the weight and more! I’m referring to the material in this article – https://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/02/health/biggest-loser-weight-loss.html It is particularly disconcerting when their bodies “fought back” requirement fewer calories to sustain their activities. Would love to understand that more.

Could you please look into a podcast with Travis Christofferson

Have you read his last two books? His in depth study of the Metabolic Theory of Cancer and a ketogenic diet are intriguing! I heard him on another podcast and he was great.
