Have you delved into osteoporosis as a longevity challenge? If other hallmarks of aging are OK, but the skeletal structure is a problem, what then? As a healthy 71 year old, with typical post menopausal changes in bone density, physicians have advised calcium supplement use. I’ve done so for a few decades and currently use a plant based product balanced with D3, magnesium and K2. My question is how much of this calcium finds its way into the bone vs my arteries. Is it needed with a low carb moderate fat diet? Could I be ingesting more calcium than needed? Typical labs show serum calcium and phosphorus in the ‘normal ranges’. Any light you can shed on this aspect of aging is appreciated!
I am curious I've heard the AMA podcasts on the fasting protocol and experience that Peter had with his 7 day and 3 day fasts. He mentions the use of bullion or something along those lines to maintain his electrolyte intake along with water when he does these fasts, but I'm curious what product exactly did he use to do this. A lot of tablets and hydration additives for water have artificial sweetners such as Stevia in them and I assume he would avoid that to do a true fast? Thank you!
