I actually think this might be a great topic for its own podcast episode where you interview them. Having read some of Gary Taubes' books recently, their work overlaps a lot, but really starts where Gary ends. They address the mysteries of the obesity epidemic and then propose and analyze several hypotheses over subsequent posts.
With the background noise level of an Ooler (and similar products) being around 55-60 decibels, is there any concern for long term hearing loss if used nightly? Any difference between using for an adult versus a pre-teen or a teen? We have considered buying an ooler (or chilipad/etc) but also have many of the concerns of long term hearing loss that were outlined in your newsletter.
Not a question just an observation following Matt Kaeberlein's experience with a frozen shoulder. My distal interphalangeal joint pain (and therefore function - I'm an ophthalmic surgeon) resolved after starting rapamycin. I wasn't sure why, but it might be the rapamycin. Just thought I'd share the anecdote!
