Hi Peter, Do you have a POV on ivermectin? It sounds there are have been 18 randomized trials, while small they seem to show some promise for covid in early stages. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8088823/ Also, looks like some countries are using it especially where there is vaccine shortage. Thanks!
Women who get pregnant have measurably longer lifespans than those who don't. Could you elaborate on the epidemiology of this effect and/or bring on a guest to elaborate on what is known and go into the possible mechanisms for this? I know there is thought to be a very fascinating stem cell component that also has ramifications in other contexts such as remediation of ischemic heart damage, but I could also imagine an immune component is at play (for an entertaining read: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0165037803000524?via%3Dihub), or possibly an estrogen mediated effect a la ER-X receptor. I would love to hear your conversation on this topic and I think it would pair nicely with the other work you have done in the area.
