Hi again, I'd understood from a couple of years back that you'd be coming up with a list of physicians who share your approach. Living in the Boston area, I imagine that there must be a few. Are you still planning to come up with a listing ? I'm sure I'm not the only subscriber interested! Than you again.
You talk a lot about controlling average glucose ranges and limiting glucose peaks, but not about low glucose episodes. Are low glucose periods as bad as higher ones, assuming no symptoms of hypoglycaemia? Could low periods of blood glucose therefore be considered a sign of good metabolic flexibility (assuming levels around 50-70), specifically at night and after periods of exercise/fasting?
Peter often commented that at times he would eat “his” diet or food and the rest of the family would do something different. Having recently had my first child (still just bottle feeding) I wondered how my son’s diet, pickiness aside, would/should be different from my wife’s and my quasi Mediterranean/Paleo type diet, if at all. Seems like in early development we may be less concerned with mTor and related protein restrictions but given what I know about fructose and processed foods that still seems like it should be still mostly off the table. My son was born SGA (small for gestational age) at 38 weeks and only 4.5 lbs and I can already tell as parents we may be overly cognizant through the years of merely trying to get him to put on weight. I just want to make sure we aren’t over doing it. Thanks.
Hi Peter, Thanks for all the amazing work you and your team does! Can you talk a little bit about mustard oil in cooking? This oil is used by Indian community and there is literally no good data on this if it’s something that I can use sometimes. Typically I use avocado oil, olive oil, and clarified butter in cooking but some recipes just taste better with mustard oil. I’d appreciate if you can shed some light on this.
